Abdullah El-Said led Egyptian club Zamalek into the African Champions League round of 32 after scoring three goals in a 4-0 victory over Djibouti’s AS Port on Saturday in the second leg of the first preliminary round. The Egyptian side secured a 6-1 aggregate win after a 2-1 victory in the first leg.

El-Said, 41, opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a shot from the edge of the penalty area that changed direction after hitting a defender. He added his second goal two minutes later and completed his hat-trick in the 18th minute after a pass from Chico Banza, before substitute Nasser Mansi completed the rout in the second minute of stoppage time. In Mali, Tunisia’s Club Africain advanced after drawing 2-2 away to Djoliba.
Sireman Konate scored the opening goal in the 17th minute, before a Nigelec defender added the second with an own goal in the 69th minute. MC Alger strengthened their lead with three goals in seven minutes, scored by Mohamed Bangoura, Shahredine Boukhalda and Moussa Ndomoy.
The Algerian side will face Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers in the second preliminary round, while the stage also saw Morocco’s Moghreb Fes and Sudan’s Al Hilal and Al Merrikh advance.
