A quarter-century after 9/11, the war on terror’s legacy endures
Twenty-five years after the September 11, 2001 attacks, the repercussions of the “war on terror” remain evident in US politics and the justice system. Its legacy is reflected in the continued preference for military solutions, rising anti-Muslim rhetoric, and the detention of suspects accused of planning the attacks, whose trial has been postponed until 2028.
