Saudi media personality Ali Al-Ghafili announced on August 20, 2026, that he was returning to the MBC Group to host “Jah Al Aqar,” a program focused on the Saudi real estate sector that will feature executive leaders, developers and policymakers discussing their experiences and market shifts.
In his announcement, Al-Ghafili said he was beginning a new chapter in his professional career within the group, adding that viewers would soon see him on the program across MBC platforms. The announcement did not specify a launch date for the episodes.

Context
“Jah Al Aqar” is the first season of a series of programs called “Jah,” launched by Jah Media to provide in-depth discussions with executive leaders, policymakers and experts from various economic and social sectors.
The first season focuses on the Saudi real estate market through interviews with major property owners, real estate developers, chief executives and policymakers. The discussions address the guests’ professional experiences, market shifts, investment opportunities, the challenges facing the sector and its future.
Al-Ghafili said Jah Media is participating in the project as its media and production partner, while Araco - Al-Raem International Company is participating as the program’s advertising partner.
Previous career at the group
Background
Al-Ghafili previously worked at MBC, presenting news bulletins as well as social and humanitarian programs, including “MBC Fi Osbou”. In 2009, he also co-hosted “Sabah Al-Khair Ya Arab” on MBC1 with media personality Lojain Omran, while presenting the evening news bulletins and his weekly program.
Al-Ghafili began his career in print journalism, working for “Mir’at Al-Jamia,” Al Riyadh newspaper and Insan magazine before moving into television through Al Eqtisadiah channel in Dubai, then Al Aan channel and eventually MBC. He studied media, specializing in journalism and public relations, at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University.
In 2014, Al-Ghafili announced that he was moving from “MBC Fi Osbou” to the news bulletin team, after being associated with the program for about eight years at that stage. He later appeared in January 2020 alongside Taghreed Al-Huwaish in the program’s official content on MBC1.
According to the producer’s announced plans, the “Jah” series will not be limited to real estate, as its future seasons may cover sectors including the economy, finance, development and sports.
