Russia and Ukraine exchanged large-scale drone attacks on 25 September. Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia launched 295 drones, including 52 jet-powered ones, at areas deep inside Ukraine, confirming that 267 had been shot down or disabled by 07:30.

It added that the strikes hit 16 sites, while drone debris fell at four locations, as the attack continued into the morning. Russia’s Defence Ministry announced that it had targeted a facility in Boryspil, in Kyiv Region, which it said was used to assemble and store drones. Ukrainian reports said a fire broke out at a timber facility in the area, while emergency crews continued to deal with the aftermath of the strikes.

In Russia, Perm Region Governor Dmitry Makhonin said a large-scale attack had targeted an industrial facility since the morning, and that air defences and mobile fire groups had confronted it.

He confirmed that no initial injuries had been recorded, while emergency crews were working at the site. Russian authorities also reported that one person had been killed, others injured, and an oil refinery and industrial facilities damaged in attacks on several regions.
