In the Horizons competition for short films, director Shaden Safieddine Tazi won the Best Short Film award for the 18-minute documentary “A Few Moments of Joy.” The film follows a young director who left Beirut for Paris before watching Israel’s bombing of Lebanon and the devastation it caused from afar.

The film competed as a co-production between France and the United Kingdom and was shown in Arabic, French and English.
