Actress Mimi Gamal has joined the cast of “Ninja Sisters-in-Law,” which brings Menna Shalaby and Hana El Zahed together for the first time as co-stars in a film. The filmmakers are continuing preparations and finalising contracts ahead of filming in the coming period.
Family conflicts in a comedy
The film is a social comedy about two sisters-in-law living in the same family home. Their relationship becomes strained because of their different personalities and approaches to married life and its daily details, with their rivalry and disputes driving the comedy.
Hana El Zahed plays the younger sister-in-law, who has recently married the character played by Michel Milad. She then finds herself in a new family environment and facing the other sister-in-law, played by Menna Shalaby, every day.
Cast and filmmakers
The film also stars Khaled Kamal, Michel Milad, Roshdy El Shamy and Hanan Soliman. Details of the character played by Mimi Gamal have not yet been disclosed.
The film offers an Egyptian adaptation of the idea behind the Turkish film “War of the Sisters-in-Law,” released in 2020. Ahmed El Gendy is directing the film and co-writing it with Akram Mostafa and Sameh Gamal.
Mimi Gamal’s recent work
Mimi Gamal’s participation in the film follows her appearance in four series during the Ramadan 2026 season: “Mana’a,” “Ala Ad El Hob,” “El Meter Samir” and “Hea Kemia.” Her recent credits also include the films “Afaf Ana Wehoma” and “Red Flag.”
More details about the characters and events are expected to be announced as filming begins, while the team continues preparations and finalises contracts.
