Three children were killed and several civilians injured around noon on Thursday in a drone attack targeting Al-Tarirah village in Al-Dharifa subdistrict of Al-Wazi'iyah district, west of Yemen's Taiz governorate, according to Yemeni Legal Affairs Minister Ishraq al-Maqtari, who accused the Houthi group of carrying out the attack.

Resumed deployment renews fears among Al-Wazi'iyah residents

She added that the return had revived residents' fears of a repeat of the violations and damage witnessed in the district during the years of war. Al-Wazi'iyah saw confrontations and military operations during the war that caused harm to civilians, while previous reports spoke of mines and remnants of war in several areas of the district.

Al-Maqtari called for those responsible for the violations to be held accountable, stressing that protecting civilians and ensuring the rule of law are responsibilities borne by state institutions and the society opposing violations.
