Army moves to secure North Kordofan

In North Kordofan, the army completed the securing of areas it retook on Thursday, alongside movements by its forces towards Sudri, reaching Al-Mazroub and Hamrat al-Sheikh. The moves aim, according to the sources, to clear the western areas of the state and open the route towards West Kordofan and the Darfur region.

In a statement, the army said the recapture of these areas followed battles with the Rapid Support Forces, adding that it had carried out extensive sweep operations west of El Obeid and pursued Rapid Support Forces personnel to the outskirts of Darfur. The army said its operations would continue with the aim of asserting state sovereignty and securing citizens and areas, ultimately achieving security and stability in the country.
