Arab League condemns Taif attack and declares solidarity with Saudi Arabia

The Arab League condemned on Friday 18 September 2026 the Houthi attack on Taif Governorate in western Saudi Arabia, affirming its solidarity with the Kingdom after the incident caused one death, two injuries and material damage. Saudi Civil Defence had announced on Thursday 17 September that its teams were responding to the aftermath of fragments from a drone falling after it was intercepted and destroyed over Taif Governorate, stating that the drone had been launched by the Houthi group.
