Qatar and Saudi Arabia Begin Gradual Acceptance of Mada and Himyan Cards

Expanding Acceptance of National Payment Cards

The Saudi Central Bank said accepting the two countries’ national payment cards builds on existing cooperation and integration in payments between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and expands the cross-border use of Gulf national cards.

Supporting Gulf Payments Infrastructure

The move supports joint Gulf efforts to develop shared payments infrastructure, in line with the strategic objectives of economic and financial integration among the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
