Capitals, August 14 / WAM / — Oil prices edged higher in Friday trading after falling by more than 2% in the previous session. Brent crude futures rose 9 cents, or 0.1%, to $87.16 a barrel by 01:30 GMT, while West Texas Intermediate crude futures gained 4 cents to $81.29 a barrel. Despite the two benchmarks declining in the previous session and giving up some of the gains they made during a rally that lasted 6 sessions for Brent and 5 sessions for U.S. crude, they remain on track for weekly gains of about 4%.
