Aramco Trading sold about 10 million barrels of Khafji crude to five Asian refiners in a tender that closed on Tuesday, according to trading sources, with the discount reaching 8 dollars per barrel in some deals against the November Dubai crude price.

Allocation of volumes among buyers

South Korea's GS Caltex and China's Shenghong Petrochemical each bought two million barrels, while India's Hindustan Petroleum, Indian Oil and Reliance each bought two million barrels, bringing the total volume sold to 10 million barrels.

Loading in Fujairah

The cargoes are scheduled to be loaded through ship-to-ship transfers in Fujairah from late October through November.

The sources said some deals were concluded at a discount of up to 8 dollars per barrel against the November Dubai crude price.

Third tender in about two weeks

This is the third tender Aramco Trading has offered to sell Khafji crude in about two weeks, after the previous two tenders were allocated to buyers in China and India.
