Sky News Arabia said the Algerian authorities had withdrawn its bureau’s accreditation in the country, days after Algeria severed diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates. The decision came amid mounting tensions between the two countries, followed by Algerian measures including the closure of its airspace to Emirati aircraft, with a temporary exemption for certain commercial flights.

In Oran, paella has become a local dish combining seafood and Algerian cooking methods with a tradition brought from Spain. In the town of Ain El Turk, artisan Djamel Eddine Abassi serves his own version, cooking the rice in broth so it absorbs the flavors and attracting residents, tourists and Algerians living abroad.
